Responsible alcohol management reduces youth
access to alcohol and protects the public, licensees and employees.
TIPSŪ is the most internationally and nationally recognized alcohol
training program by insurance agencies and state regulators.
This class is held on-site at your location
so that you may train your team properly and thoroughly. The class
is 3-5 hours and can be customized to meet the needs of the
operator with house policies and specific procedures.
This program is complete when participants
take a 40 question final exam the end of the 3-5 hour training
session under the supervision of one of our instructors.
Certification is awarded to participants who achieve 80% or higher
on the exam. Successful students will receive a wallet-size TIPSŪ
certification card that is good for 3 years. *
Course
Content Topics include:
- Behavioral Cues (visible, progressive
signs of intoxication)
- Blood Alcohol Content (BAC, the level of
alcohol in a person's bloodstream)
- Intoxication Rate Factors (items that
affect the absorption of alcohol)
- Effective Responses (intervention
strategies to prevent alcohol-related problems)
- Checking IDs (proper formats and things
to look for on an ID)
- State-Specific Information (laws that
relate to alcohol and/or alcohol server training)
- Documenting Incidents (forms to use to
document problem situations)
- Review (question and answer exercise to
test understanding of information).

delivered for your organization, based on how you serve
alcohol:
- On Premise - For those who work or manage
in bars and restaurants.
- Off Premise - For sellers of alcohol in
grocery, convenience, and liquor stores.
- Concessions - For those who serve in
arenas, stadiums, airports.
- Gaming - For those who serve in the
gaming industries.
- University - For those who sell in
college towns, or college functions, fraternities, etc.
- Seniors - Serving alcohol responsibly in
senior living communities.
